RECSVIRESCO advantages: pre-sowed geocomposite material

The main applications for which RECSVIRESCO has been designed are cortical reinforcement, surface erosion control and regrassing of terrigenous or with a prevalent terrigenous fraction escarpments with a 65°-70° maximum inclination.

These interventions are carried out on loose organic soils, soil or mixed sand or fine gravel escarpments, on terrains subject to erosion events and soil loss, and on the banks and embankments of waterways.

 

RECSVIRESCO is used for:

  • Erosion control and regrassing of soil or mixed sand or fine gravel slopes, protection from rainfall run-offs, from soil impregnation and from wind actions.
  • Contrast to cryoclastic phenomena (soil disintegration due to freeze-thaw cycles).
  • Erosion control of road and railway escarpments, protection from wash-out, mitigation of the environmental impact of infrastructures.
  • Soil bio-engineering works for environmental mitigation and compensation through the revegetation of natural or artificial denudated escarpments.
  • Landscape requalification.
  • Protection, stabilization and regrassing of river escarpments from the erosive actions of the hydraulic flow.
  • Consolidation and revegetation of escarpments in the construction of hydraulic containment works: embankment recovery, flooded banks, embankment reinforcement, expansion boxes and detention basins, overflow basins, etc.

The main advantages of RECSVIRESCO are:

  • instant erosion control of the slope surface and fine soil parts thanks to the combination of the erosion control wire mesh and the pre-sowed biotextile;
  • the plants can put down roots and grow uniformly and regularly;
  • erosion control and soil sowing all in a single stage with no need of further sowings before or after the laying procedure;

 

  • the installation in one single step of two materials allows increased speed of work execution, better precision of the work (avoiding problems of imperfect overlapping of the materials or localized curls), greater safety thanks to the reduction of the exposure time of the installers on the façade;
  • a reduction of the installation costs, both direct and indirect (quality of work with more safety);
  • since the two materials that form RECSVIRESCO are pre-assembled directly in the production phase, this allows for a better adhesion to the ground while avoiding different behaviours, greater laying precision and protection of the biotextile from possible stretching and shrinkage effects due to the weight of the mesh;

 

  • excellent environmental impact from a physical-chemical point of view;
  • a landscape improvement with regrassing always customized according to the customer’s needs, with species designed and chosen according to the climatic period of use and maintenance possibilities;
  • the two materials are easily disconnectable directly on site so that they can be spread in the event of depressions in the ground, in order to better adhere the biotextile to the underlying soil, a fundamental condition for the sprouting of plant essences.
